Korrie was a graduate student in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics Graduate Group. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2013 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. Korrie enjoys playing soccer, running, and is a dedicated New York Rangers fan. She grew up in Utica, New York, and is excited to explore Philadelphia! In 2013, Korrie won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and a BMB Raiziss Award. In 2016 and 2017, Korrie won an ADDF Young Investigator Scholarship. In 2018, Korrie was selected and participated in the 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. Korrie defended her Ph.D. thesis 'Engineering protein disaggregases to counter alpha-synuclein and amyloid-beta neurotoxicity' in June, 2019. Korrie went on to pursue a post-doc at Merck.
